Key concepts
A compact map of the ideas Harold uses everywhere: deals as the spine, artefacts attached to context, and permissions that keep sensitive work visible only to the right people.
These concepts repeat everywhere in Harold. When you are unsure where something belongs, return to this page.
Deal as the spine
Single narrative
The deal record is where stage, economics, parties, and history converge. Documents, inbox threads, and tasks should resolve here whenever they concern the transaction.
Stage discipline
Stages are not labels for slides — they are commitments about risk and resourcing. If a stage does not change behaviour, remove it.

Day-to-day vs admin
- Most users live in operational surfaces.
- Configuration changes are intentionally separated.
- If access is missing, route through your workspace admin.
